Vojtěch Ptáček Signs
Treaty United are delighted to announce the signing of forward Vojtěch Ptáček.
The Czechia native joins the club after a successful trial period during pre-season.
Vojtěch started his football journey seven years old with FK Příbram, then one of the Czech Republic’s top academies. Vojtěch progressed through the club’s academy before lining out for the club’s reserve team in the Czech third tier, with his performances earning him a first team berth in the Second Round of the Czech Cup.
The forward made the move to Prague club FC Přední Kopanina in 2021 and had a memorable three seasons with the club as he racked up 63 goals in 86 games, including a season best of 37 goals in 26 appearances in his final season. That final season also saw the side win the Prague Championship and a cup competition.
Vojtěch came to Ireland to continue his studies last summer and soon linked up with local club Pike Rovers where he has plied his trade since. He now makes the move up to League of Ireland level and is the latest addition to Tommy Barrett’s squad ahead of the new season.
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, manager Tommy Barrett said:
“Vojtěch has done well with Pike Rovers. We have had him in with the last few weeks and he is a strong lad who adds further depth to our squad. We think he will be another good addition.”
Vojtěch spoke to TreatyUnitedFC.com after signing and said:
“I am thrilled to join Treaty United and can’t wait to play at the Markets Field in front of the amazing Treaty fans. I hope to contribute with goals and do my best to help the team succeed. I look forward to learning, improving, and growing as a player, and I’d love for us to compete for the top spots in the league, as I hate losing. I’m ready to give my all and can’t wait for the challenge ahead!”
