The Teams
Treaty United
Treaty United enter Saturday’s game on a five game unbeaten run. A 2-0 win away to Crusaders in the Avenir Sports All-Island Cup saw them pick up their second win of the season and their third clean sheet too.
The return of Caleigh Boeckx and Ayaka Ikeza to the bench for last Saturday’s win will be a big boost for Dominic Foley’s side who would have relatively content to have gotten a draw in their last league outing against Sligo Rovers considering the players that were missing.
Treaty have not been goal shy with seven goals in five games, while they have only conceded three goals with all three coming across their two encounters with Shamrock Rovers. They will look to use their attacking prowess to their advantage on Saturday against a Bohemians side that have shipped eight goals in six games.
Bohemian FC
It has not been a good start to the season for Ken Kiernan’s Bohemians who would have been high in confidence after an opening day victory away to Wexford FC. However, it has all gone south since then with four losses in five games – their only win coming at home to a very poor Lisburn Ladies side.
Having already faced the might of Athlone Town and Galway United, Bohs will see this Saturday’s game as an opportunity to stop the rot but an in-form Treaty side are not the easiest of oppositions.
There is plenty of familiarity between the sides with Aoibhe Fleming, Sarah Power and Orlagh Fitzpatrick all playing for Bohemians having spent the latter half of the 2023 season with Treaty United.
Previous Encounters
Bohs have come out on top in seven of the ten times that these sides have met. Treaty won three of the first four meetings between the sides, but Bohemians have come out on top since then with six consecutive wins including five clean sheets.
With that said, Bohs were lucky to come away with six points from the two meetings between the sides in 2023 as they had to rely on two questionable penalty decisions to get the better of the Shannonsiders.
Treaty United wins – 3
Draws – 0
Bohemians wins – 7
