Team News:

Goalkeeper Annie Ulliac, Kayla Kyle and Caleigh Boeckx are doubts ahead of Saturday’s encounter.

Having missed Treaty’s last game, Fiana Bradley is coming closer to full fitness and may feature. Laura O’Neill remains out owing to a fractured foot but is coming closer to returning to the side.

The Teams

Treaty United

Treaty United enter into Saturday’s game on a three game unbeaten run. Prior to the international break, Treaty played out an exciting 2-2 draw away to Shamrock Rovers to continue their good start to the season. It was another strong performance from Dominic Foley’s side who showed great courage to come from behind to lead at half-time.

The aforementioned injury concerns will be a worry for Treaty, but some members of the squad have yet to play this season and will be keen to make an impression if given the opportunity in another player’s absence.

Sligo Rovers

Without a win in their first three games in all competitions, but it has not been a bad start for Sligo Rovers. They played out a scoreless draw with title-favourites Shelbourne, followed by consecutive losses to Galway United in the All-Island Cup and league.

Those were three difficult opening fixtures for Sligo Rovers who will face a stiffer test at the Markets Field than they are used to.

One big positive for Sligo Rovers is scoring twice against a Galway United side that are formidable at the back. Emma Doherty and Jodi Loughrey were on the scoresheet that day and will be a constant threat on Saturday.

Previous Encounters

It has always been tight when these sides have met, as evidenced by the fact both sides have just one win each in their five meetings.

Rovers were winners the first time the sides met at The Showgrounds in April of 2022, while Treaty got their first win over the bit o’ red last year when goals from Cara Griffin and Hannah Saidi saw Treaty come from behind to pick up all three points.

Treaty United wins – 1

Draws – 3

Sligo Rovers wins – 1
