Treaty United

Tommy Barrett’s battling side come into the game following a 2-2 draw against Wexford FC on Friday night.

An early Thomas Oluwa goal was cancelled out by Treaty’s Lee Devitt just three minutes later.

Treaty looked to have secured the win on 86 minutes through Mark Byrne.

However, right at the death, Kaylem Harnett snatched a point for Wexford.

While results haven’t gone Treaty’s way recently, performances have been improving and many players are due back from injury in the coming weeks.

This rearranged fixture is an opportunity for the Limerick side to put themselves back in the play-offs conversation.

Longford Town

Beleaguered Longford Town have endured a tough season.

The club parted ways with manager Stephen Henderson a month ago after a poor run of results.

Their first win of the season was only earned in their 13th game against Kerry FC.

On Friday night, they suffered defeat in Donegal to Finn Harps with former Treaty man Success Edogun popping up with the winner on 85 minutes to make it 3-2 to the home side.

Familiar faces

Jack Brady served Treaty with distinction in the 2022 season and Dean George was a fan favourite and hard-working forward from the club’s first senior men’s season until last winter when he decided to move closer to home.

Defender Dean O’Shea spent less than six months at Treaty last year. Bastien Hery played for Limerick FC in 2017.

Past Meetings

Treaty had the better of the exchanges last season scoring 11 goals in the four games and winning nine points from 12.

These sides do like a 3-2 scoreline when they meet, it occurred in three of the four encounters between the teams in 2023.
