The Teams

Treaty United

Sitting in ninth place on eleven points, Treaty United picked up a convincing win 9-0 win over Ferns United in the Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup last week. First half goals from Katie Lawlee and Delana Friesen were followed by Danielle Steer (2), Cara Griffin, Anna Rockett, Erin Van Dolder, Caleigh Boeckx and Hannah Saidi finding the net in the second period.

It was a good morale boost for Treaty who suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Wexford FC the week prior, while the spread of goalscorers in that FAI Cup victory will be a welcome boost for a side who have not always been clinical in front of goal. That win also ended a run of four straight home losses and they will be hoping to improve on their home form this Saturday against a Bohs side who have struggled on the road.

Laura O’Neill made her club debut after a spell out with injury which is a welcome boost for Dominic Foley’s side. Defender Mijke Roelfsema sat out last Saturday’s victory with a knock, while Grace Gleeson has missed out on Treaty’s last two games owing to injury. Mara McCleary was substituted off with a knock in that cup victory over Ferns, but it remains to be seen if it will rule her out of this crunch tie.

Bohemian FC

Sitting in seventh place on fifteen points, Bohemians will come into Saturday’s game as the favourites owing to a recent run of three wins in four and just one loss in six. They knocked Peamount United out of the FAI Cup last week which will fill Ken Kiernan’s side with confidence that they can record a clean sweep over Treaty.

Bohs have struggled at both ends of the pitch though with the third fewest goals scored and the fourth most goals conceded. They have been kept scoreless on seven occasions in the league this season and while they boast one more clean sheet than Treaty United have, Bohs have conceded more goals including 4-0 hammerings away to Galway United and at home to Shamrock Rovers.

Alannah McEvoy has lead the way in terms of goals for Bohs and she will be hoping to find the Markets Field net much like her late grandfather Andy McEvoy did from 1967 to 1972.

Previous Encounters

This fixture has given Bohs much joy with eight wins from eleven outings. Bohs have won all of the last seven meetings between these sides, but the last three have been by a single goal. Treaty were rightly aggrieved not to have taken a result in the two occasions they met the Dubliners in 2023, as dubious penalties home and away gave Bohs three points in each

Treaty United wins – 3

Draws – 0

Bohemians wins – 8
