Mark Walsh Re-Signs
Treaty United are delighted to announce that Mark Walsh has re-signed for the club ahead of the 2025 season.
The club’s longest serving Senior Men’s player enters his fifth season with Treaty United having been part of the club’s first ever 26-man squad from 2021.
Formerly of Athlone Town and Nenagh Celtic, Mark has made 97 appearances in his four seasons with the club and will be looking to become just the fourth Senior Men’s player to hit the 100 mark in 2025. Mark’s loyalty to the club was repaid last season as he was named club captain for 2024.
Mark’s versatility as both a centre-half and defensive midfielder, combined with his no-nonsense attitude and fearless performances, has made him an integral part of the team and a fan favourite among Treaty supporters.
Manager Tommy Barrett spoke to TreatyUnitedFC.com and was glad to have an experienced player like Mark signed up once more:
“Mark is a good signing because he’s really experienced and a good pro that will help the other players. He’s a really good no-nonsense defender with great intelligence, and he’s a great lad to have around the place.”
