Mark Byrne Re-Signs
Treaty United are delighted to announce that Mark Byrne has re-signed for the new season.
The Mayo man enters his second season of the club after a brilliant 2024 in Treaty colours.
Previously of Sligo Rovers, Mark made 40 appearances for the Bit O’Red, including over an hour on the pitch in Rovers’ UEFA Europa Conference first leg against FH Hafnarfjörður.
He signed for Treaty United in February and made his debut in early March, scoring in a Munster Senior Cup clash with Kerry FC. It would be a sign of things to come from Byrne who would go on to grab a total of seven goals and four assists in 23 appearances for the club, including decisive goals in victories over Longford Town and Finn Harps.
The Midfielder has quickly become a fan favourite at the club is another big boost for Tommy Barrett’s squad as they look to next season.
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Mark was thrilled to have put pen to paper for 2025 and is looking to improve himself further next season and bring Treaty up the table:
“I am delighted to be back for another season. I managed to get a few goals and assists last year but I am looking to push on and make an even bigger impact this time around. I am confident that we can push ourselves into the playoff spots and make it a year to remember.”
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Mark was thrilled to have put pen to paper for 2025 and is looking to improve himself further next season and bring Treaty up the table:
“Mark had a good season last year despite a few injuries, he did well out wide and in central positions for us. After being out injured for eighteen months he now has a full year under his belt with plenty of games, goals and assists and we hope he can potentially hit another level for us. The fact that he has Premier Division and European experience is a big plus and he had plenty of suitors, so we’re delighted to have him again.”
