Kate O’Donovan Re-Signs

Treaty United are delighted to announce that Kate O’Donovan has re-signed for the club ahead of the Women’s Premier Division season.

The midfielder enters her second full season with the club having joined Treaty United in the summer of 2023.

A Bandon native, Kate spent eight-and-a-half seasons with Cork City FC Women and had the honour of being the first player to graduate from City’s academy into their first team. O’Donovan made over 100 senior appearances with Cork City and started in the club’s FAI Cup Final victory over UCD Waves in 2017 and their 2018 Women’s National League Shield Final.

She made the move to Treaty United in July of 2023 and has since made 17 appearances in eighteen months with the club. The tenacious midfielder becomes the latest re-signing ahead of the 2025 season and will aid the side with her experience and high work-rate.

Senior Women’s manager Sean Russell spoke to TreatyUnitedFC.com and is looking forward to seeing Kate play an important role in the team this season:

We are delighted to have Kate back for the upcoming season. Kate is an intelligent midfielder with a good understanding of the game. She has a fantastic attitude and will be an important player in our group this season.
