Karl O’Sulivan Signs

Treaty United are delighted to announce the signing of Karl O’Sullivan.


The Limerick man joins his hometown club after a season with Galway United. He brings the experience of nearly 150 Premier Division appearances as well as lining out in European
competition.


A native of Glin, Karl burst onto the League of Ireland scene in late 2017 when he made his Senior debut and made almost 60 appearances across the Premier Division and First Division on Shannonside.


Karl then made the move to Finn Harps with whom he spent two seasons in the top-flight. Karl grabbed six goals and eight assists in 52 showings for the Harps as he helped Ollie Horgan’s side to avoid the bottom two positions in successive seasons.


The winger moved on to North West rivals Sligo Rovers in 2022, spending two seasons with the Bit O’Red. Karl’s time with Rovers will be best remembered for his role in the club’s European run in 2022. Karl made six appearances for John Russell’s side in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers in 2022 as they went on a great run to the Third Round having beaten Bala Town and Motherwell in the first two rounds.


2024 saw Karl line out for John Caulfield’s Galway United, grabbing five assists in 30 appearances as the side contended for a European spot until late in the season.The 25-year-old winger becomes the latest addition to Tommy Barrett’s squad as they look ahead to the season opener against Cobh Ramblers at the Markets Field on Friday, February 14th at 7:45PM.


Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, manager Tommy Barrett was delighted to have signed up
a local talent like Karl ahead of the new season:
“Karl is a great signing for us. He’s a local lad who has Premier and European experience from his time in the league and will bring another edge to our attacking threat. He’s technically really good and I think he’ll be an important player for us.”
