Fionn Doherty Re-Signs
Treaty United are delighted to announce that Fionn Doherty has re-signed for the club ahead of the 2025 season.
The twenty-year-old enters his second full season with Treaty United’s Senior Men’s squad having broken into the first team squad back in 2022.
Hailing from Kilbaha in Clare, Fionn made his debut against Cork City in the Munster Senior Cup in May of 2022 and made a total of seven appearances off the bench that season including showings against Derry City in the FAI Cup and both playoff legs against Waterford FC.
An injury hampered 2023 saw limited involvement for Fionn, but 2024 was a breakout season for the left back as he made 30 appearances and put in some incredible showings along the way.
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Fionn was delighted to have put pen to paper for 2025:
“I’m thrilled to be back at Treaty for another season. I can’t wait to get back out there and give everything on and off the pitch. Looking forward to a big year ahead!”
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Tommy Barrett said:
“Fionn did really well last year at left-back, when he got his chance he took it. We had to work with him on playing in that position as he came into the club at underage level as an attacker, but he’s done really well since making the move. We think he can kick on further in 2025 as he’s a very good athlete with a really good attitude, so we’re delighted to have him on board.”
