Down Syndrome Sock Day
The 21st of March marks Down Syndrome Day. Although it has come and gone, Treaty United want to show our support at this Saturday’s SSE Airtricity League Women’s Premier Division game against Cork City. So we invite all our fans, volunteers, players and staff to wear “LOTS OF SOCKS” to support those of our community with Down Syndrome. This campaign is designed with inclusivity in mind. Anyone can take part in this!
“Lots of Socks” began in 2013 as an initiative to raise awareness about Down Syndrome. The purpose of the brightly coloured, mismatched socks is to represent the uniqueness and diversity of people with Down Syndrome. People are encouraged to raise awareness and motivate for the inclusion, well-being, and advocacy of the rights of all with Down Syndrome. It is this campaign that reminds us all that our differences make us unique and brilliant.
Treaty United is dedicated to being a club which provides an inclusive environment for all our players, volunteers, fans, and staff on and off the pitch.

WE WANT TO SEE YOUR COLOURFUL SOCKS ON MATCH DAY!
Share photos, videos, reels, TikTok and everything in between of your socks on the 29th of March in Markets Field; attach #TreatyUnitedSockDay so we can see all your incredible socks.
