David Tarmey Joins On Loan
Treaty United are pleased to announce that David Tarmey has signed on loan from Galway United for the 2025 season.
David embarks on his second loan spell with the club having lined out for the club up front in the 2024 season.
David made his debut for Treaty United in January of last year, coming off the bench to score the opening goal in a 2-0 victory against Carrigaline United in the Munster Senior Cup. Unfortunately, an injury sustained in March during a home game against Cork City sidelined him for much of the season. The Galwegian didn’t return to action until August but managed to finish the 2024 campaign on a high note, finishing with two goals and an assist in 15 appearances. Now, the determined frontman is aiming
for a standout year in 2025.
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, David Tarmey said:
“I am delighted to be back with treaty again this season and I am really looking forward to the season ahead. Last season wasn’t ideal for me as I was injured for a large majority of the year. I’ll be looking to rectify that this season by hopefully scoring lots of goals and winning games.”
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Tommy Barrett was happy to have David back for
another year having worked with him in 2024:
“David is a good loan signing for us. We’re hoping he can kick on this year having struggled a lot with injury last year. We know he’s a good target man with great technical ability, is good in-and-around the box and gives our squad further depth. In the pre-season games we’ve played so far, he has shown a great ability to get into good positions, and if he can score some goals in the next few weeks that will be a big boost for his confidence that will set him up nicely for our season opener on February 14th.”
