Chris Horgan Signs
Treaty United are delighted to announce the return of Chris Horgan to the club.
The 25-year-old signs back with Treaty United after a successful spell at the end of the 2024 season where he made eleven appearances, putting in brilliant performances at right back to help Tommy Barrett’s side to finish the season on a high.
Chris comes from a family steeped in League of Ireland football with his brothers Colm, Kevin, and most notably Irish International Daryl all having played in the league. Chris played at underage level with Salthill Devon and Galway United before making his senior debut with the latter in July of 2018. Chris made 54 appearances for Galway across four seasons, helping the Tribesmen to the FAI Cup Quarter Final in 2019 as well as reaching the promotion playoffs in both 2020 and 2021.
After a spell studying abroad, Chris returned to League of Ireland football when he signed for Tommy Barrett at Treaty United last summer and is now all set to play his part in the 2025 season!
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Tommy Barrett was happy to have another defender amongst his ranks and hopes that Chris can reach the heights he hit in 2024:
“I’m happy to have Chris on board for the season. He gives us further cover in defensive areas and brings a bit of experience too. I’m looking forward to seeing him in the squad and having a good year after playing really well when he came in last season.”
