Cara Griffin Re-Signs

Treaty United are delighted to announce that Cara Griffin has re-signed for the 2024 season.

The Limerick native enters her fifth season with Treaty United and has been with the Senior Women’s side since the very beginning.

Griffin made her Senior debut in 2020 but has come to the fore in the previous two seasons as she has contributed with a greater number of goals. She has made 78 competitive appearances to date with six goals to her name, making her the leading appearance holder for the Senior Women’s team.

In 2022 she claimed the Treaty United Members’ Senior Women’s Player of the Year award, while her wondergoal against Sligo Rovers in October of that year saw her win the October League of Ireland goal of the month award as well as nominations for both Treaty United and the Women’s National League’s goal of the season competitions.

Treaty United CEO Ciara McCormack spoke to TreatyUnitedFC.com and was delighted to have secured Cara for the forthcoming season amidst interest elsewhere:

“Cara was pursued by numerous clubs at the end of the season, and we are happy to announce that she has decided to stay in Limerick with us at Treaty. Cara is an unbelievably talented player, with a fantastic competitive drive. We have no doubt that with the right environment and support that she is a player that one day has the ability to represent Ireland. We’re excited to help her reach that goal and have her lead us into a successful 2024 League of Ireland season.”
