Aibhlinn Cotter Re-Signs

Treaty United are delighted to announce the signing of Aibhlinn Cotter to the Senior Women’s team.

The teenager enters her first full season with the Senior Women’s team having made her debut in July. Aibhlinn joined Treaty United’s WU17 team in 2023 having previously played for Connolly Celtic and Moneypoint FC in Clare.

The left-footed defender became an important part of the team upon joining and was in the starting lineup for their Shield final victory over Cork City at the Markets Field in November. In 2024, Aibhlinn helped the WU17 team to reach the elite phase as well as the quarter-final of the Academy Cup.

On the international stage, Aibhlinn has been capped at U15, U16 & U17 for the Republic of Ireland. Most recently Aibhlinn was a part of the Republic of Ireland WU17 squad that took part in UEFA Women’s Under 17 Championship Euro Qualifiers against Spain, Austria and Denmark.

Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Sean Russell said:
“Aibhlinn is a fantastic talent with a great determination to improve. Her distribution of the
ball, defending qualities, and set piece deliveries will be a big asset to the senior team this
season.”
