Clodagh Daly Signs
Treaty United are delighted to announce the signing of Clodagh Daly.
A ball-playing defender who is capable across the backline and as a midfielder, Clodagh joins the club having most recently lined out for Shamrock Rovers.
A former schoolgirl at Ballymackey FC in Tipperary, Clodagh joined Shamrock Rovers in the summer of 2022. She spent two-and-a-half seasons with The Hoops, playing a crucial role in the team last season as they won the WU17 League and Cup. Clodagh lined out for Shamrock Rovers at WU19 level and was also a part of the Rovers Senior squad for a number of games, including the first league meeting with Treaty United last March.
On the international stage, Clodagh has been capped at U15, U16 and U17 level for Ireland. She was a member of the Ireland’s WU15 squad that won the Bob Docherty Cup in 2022 also.
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, manager Sean Russell was thrilled to have a top young defender like Clodagh signed up:
“We are delighted to welcome Clodagh to Treaty United Football club. Clodagh has a lot of the qualities to become a real top defender. She is aggressive off the ball and calm and comfortable in possession. We are very excited to see her out in the Markets field this year in the Blue and White of Treaty United.”
