Yoyo Mahdy Re-Signs
Treaty United are delighted to announce that Yoyo Mahdy has re-signed for the club ahead of the 2025 season.
The Limerick native enters his second season with his local club. Yoyo joined the club from Bray Wanderers in December 2023, making his debut the following January in a Munster Senior Cup victory against Carrigaline United. He netted his first goal in March, a crucial strike that secured a 1-0 win away to Kerry FC. During the 2024 season, Yoyo tallied five goals and six assists, earning the club’s Goal of the Season award for a stunning free-kick against Wexford FC in April.
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Yoyo spoke about repaying his faith to the club as he looks to have a big season in 2025:
“I’m really happy to be back home again after the welcome I got last year after such a tough period of my life personally. I’m hoping to repay the faith showed in me by Tommy and the board this year on the pitch and I can’t wait to be back in front of the home fans in the Markets Field.”
Tommy Barrett also spoke to TreatyUnitedFC.com and has high hopes for Yoyo:
“Yoyo struggled a lot with injury last year but had a good finish to the season. We’re hoping he can stay fully fit this year and maximise his potential because he has good experience in the league and is a proven goalscorer. He’s a technically good footballer who brings some class to the team so we’re delighted to have him back, and hopefully he can kick on and have a really good season.”
