The Teams

Treaty United

Treaty United sit in eighth position on 32 points, eleven points off of the final playoff spot. Treaty’s playoff hopes were as good as ended last week as they fell to a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds. The clinical Seagulls grabbed all five goals inside 42 minutes on what was an off night for Tommy Barrett’s side who will look to put that result to the back of their mind.

A further downer during Friday’s defeat was the sending off of Colin Conroy who will now miss this Friday’s clash with Kerry FC, but Trpimir Vrljičak will return from suspension to face his former side. Mark Walsh made his first appearance since late June, but the Nenagh man may not be back to full fitness yet. Jack Kavanagh has not featured in a matchday squad since Treaty’s FAI Cup win over Pike Rovers in mid-August.

Kerry FC

Sitting in ninth place on 22 points, Kerry will be looking to close the ten point gap between them and their Munster rivals on Friday as well as distancing themselves from basement side Longford Town. The men from the Kingdom put in a stellar FAI Cup performance away to Cobh Ramblers in July but have not won any of their six games since, although Conor McCarthy and James Sugrue will take pride in going to penalties with Bohemians.

Killarney native Ryan Kelliher is top of the First Division goalscoring charts and will look to grab his first goal against Treaty United on Friday, but he will need the Kerry rearguard to be on top form as they have kept just one clean sheet in their last fifteen games in all competitions.

Previous Encounters

This Friday marks the ninth meeting between the sides and the fifth in 2024. Kerry are unbeaten in their last three games in this fixture, getting home wins in the Munster Senior Cup and First Division either side of a scoreless draw in the Markets Field in March.

Treaty United Wins – 4

Draws – 2
