Watch Cobh Ramblers vs Treaty United
Treaty United
9th placed Treaty United will be looking to bounce back from last week’s defeat when they visit St. Colman’s Park – a place that has been a relatively happy hunting ground for the Treaty men.
Goals in each half condemned Treaty United to a 2-0 defeat away to Finn Harps last Friday. It was a disappointing result for the side who were looking to follow up their first win of the season against Longford Town with another three points.
Friday’s trip to St. Colman’s Park is the fourth meeting between the sides at the venue, with Treaty winning two and drawing once in the past three meetings. The Shannonsiders will be hoping they can continue that good run of form in Cobh’s backyard as they bid to push up the table.
Cobh Ramblers
4th Placed Cobh Ramblers will be looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats on Friday having fallen to defeat at home to Waterford FC and away to Athlone Town in the last fortnight.
It’s been a strong start to the season outside of the two aforementioned results with the Rams having picked up four wins and two draws from their nine outings thus far, the most impressive of which seeing them put both Wexford and Bray Wanderers to the sword in St. Colman’s Park
While Cobh’s record at home to Treaty is not in their favour, they will be encouraged by having defeated Treaty twice in ten days last month.
Jack Doherty has been a talismanic figure for Shane Keegan’s side with six goals in the opening round of games. The former Wexford FC man has hit another level this season and may be the difference for Cobh on match night.
Past Meetings
These two sides have met on nine occasions in the past. While Treaty United had the better of their meetings in the 2021 and 2022 seasons, Cobh have upped the ante this season with two wins in ten days over Treaty United.
