Kate Foley Signs

Treaty United are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Kate Foley for the 2023 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division season.

Kate becomes the first new signing of manager Alban Hysa, and she makes the move from CK United where she spent two seasons playing in the WNL underage ranks.

Kate started playing locally with both Ballyduff AFC and Bohemians FC Waterford before signing for CK United in February of 2021. In her first season with CK she was voted the Player’s Player of the Year and overall Player of the Year before going on to captain the side in 2022

Kate spoke to the Treaty United media team and was excited to have made the move to senior football, whilst also being thankful to CK United for the role they played in her development as a player:

“I enjoyed my two years at Carlow-Kilkenny and I developed a lot as a player there. I will always be grateful for what the club has done for me, but I felt it was a good time for me to move on and I am delighted to have got the opportunity to sign for Treaty United. I am excited to get started and for the challenge to be playing at the highest level and against the best players in the country.”
