Treaty Sign Mara McCleary

Treaty United are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian defender, Mara McCleary to the club.

Mara’s talent shone through at her time at the University of Northern British Columbia where she started every game, won defender of the year 4 years running and was inducted into the UNBC Timberwolves Wall of Honour 2022.

Mara then moved on to the Victoria Highlanders for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. In the 2023 season she was named on the league team of the week six times in twelve weeks.

Treaty United CEO Ciara McCormack said that “Mara comes very highly recommended to us as an all star in a league that players such as Erin Van Dolder and Danielle Steer played in. She also came highly recommended as a person. We’re looking forward to her being another great person and player that our young players can benefit from working with and are excited to see her in action.

The club has parted ways Talia White, Kayla Kyle, Shauna Pearson, Fiana Bradley and Isabella Flocchini to finalize our roster changes for the 2024 summer transfer window.

Treaty United Women’s Senior Team are in action this Saturday, 27th July, K/O 5pm.
