Chris Horgan Signs

Treaty United are delighted to announce the signing of Chris Horgan.

The 24-year-old joins Tommy Barrett’s squad after a spell away from the League of Ireland while studying abroad. Chris comes from a family steeped in League of Ireland football with his brothers Colm, Kevin, and most notably Irish International Daryl all having played in the league.

Capable on the right side of defence and midfield, Horgan played at underage level with Salthill Devon and Galway United before making his senior debut with the latter in July of 2018. Chris made 54 appearances for Galway across four seasons, helping the Tribesmen to the FAI Cup Quarter Final in 2019 as well as reaching the promotion playoffs in both 2020 and 2021.

Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Senior Men’s team manager Tommy Barrett was happy to have added further depth to his squad for the second half of the season:

“Chris is another young player with experience and has been studying and playing in the Netherlands for a few years. He brings a good level of professionalism and energy to the group which will help us moving forward.”

Treaty United are back at home this Friday, July 26th when they face Finn Harps at 7:45PM in the Markets Field.
