The Teams
Treaty United
Treaty are without a win in five as they fell to defeat away to Athlone Town a fortnight ago in the Women’s Premier Division. Dominic Foley’s side had enough chances to win the game but failed to take them, ultimately being punished by a Chloe Singleton header late on. Performances from the side have been good all season but a growing trend has emerged where Treaty have been punished for their lack of clinical finishing, and this is something they will need to amend if they are to advance past Galway United on Saturday.
Ayaka Ikeza was replaced early in the aforementioned defeat to Athlone, and she may be a doubt for this weekend’s game.
Galway United FC
Galway United come into Saturday’s game off the back of two successive league defeats and so they will be keen to return to winning ways and continue their quest to retain their All-Island Cup. It’s the first real slip-up that they have had this season and have otherwise been solid throughout, having gone unbeaten in their ten games prior to those two defeats.
There is plenty of familiarity between the sides with Galway’s Jenna Slattery, Amy Madden, Jodie Griffin and Aislinn Meaney all having lined out for Treaty in the past.

The sides have only met twice since Galway United replaced Galway WFC in the league. Galway have come out on top both times with a 1-0 win at Eamonn Deacy Park and a 3-0 win at the Markets Field in 2023.
