Team News:

Manager Dominic Foley is monitoring the fitness of Caleigh Boeckx and Fiana Bradley who picked up knocks during last Saturday’s victory.

Having missed Saturday’s season opener, Grace Gleeson returns to training this week and may feature against Rovers.

Laura O’Neill remains out owing to a fractured foot.

The Teams

Treaty United

It was a dominant display from Dominic Foley’s team last Saturday as they picked up three points against DLR Waves in their opening league game.

They picked up the result in style and were unfortunate not to score more than two goals considering the attacking prowess of Cara Griffin, Caleigh Boeckx and Delana Friesen amongst others. The defensive solidity of Kayla Kyle and Talia White ensured that a clean sheet was secured.

Manager Foley suggested that the side would be approaching Saturday’s game in the same manner as their league opener, and so Treaty fans can potentially expect a strong starting line-up.

Shamrock Rovers

It’s been an underwhelming start to the season for Rovers who have played out two 1-1 draws in their opening league games.

Losing Savannah McCarthy in pre-season to injury was a blow for Rovers, while goalkeeper Amanda Budden has been out injured for the opening two games. The manner of the goals that the Tallaght outfit have conceded will be a slight worry, and manager Collie O’Neill will be hoping to amend that starting this weekend.

Considering the size of the Shamrock Rovers squad, they could very well field a young side at the Markets Field on Saturday.

Previous Encounters

The sides met for the first and second time ever at senior level in 2023.

Shamrock Rovers were comfortable 6-0 winners when the sides first met at Tallaght Stadium last March.

The sides met again at the Markets Field last November in front of the TG4 cameras at the Markets Field, with the visitors running out 4-1 winners. Orlagh Fitzpatrick grabbed Treaty’s only goal.
