Treaty United are delighted to announce the signing of Mark Byrne.
The 23-year-old joins having most recently lined out for Sligo Rovers, making 40 appearances for the Premier Division side.
A defensive midfielder, Mark progressed through Rovers’ MU17 and MU19 teams before making his Senior debut for the Showgrounds side in 2020.
Mark enjoyed a breakout season in 2021, making 27 appearances including playing over an hour in Rovers’ UEFA Europa Conference first leg against FH Hafnarfjörður. The Mayo native recorded further appearances in 2022 but sat out the 2023 season due to injury.
Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Mark spoke of how happy he was to be joining the club and embarking on a new adventure:
