Declan Farmer

New Academy Manager

Treaty United are very pleased to announce that Declan Farmer will be moving into the Academy Manager role with the club.

Declan Farmer has been the Head Coach of the Treaty United Under 19 boy’s team since the establishment of the club in 2020. He is a UEFA A and Elite Youth A licensed coach with significant experience in the game. Previously, he was the assistant manager of the Limerick FC Senior Men’s team and manager of the Limerick FC Under 19 boy’s.

Farmer spent 17 years as the head coach of the FAI Limerick Regional Centre in the North Tipperary, Limerick, and Clare regions, with extensive experience in scouting and developing the top youth talent across the areas. He has considerable experience in developing and restructuring programs to create more effective and positive results in the area of youth player development.

In addition to founding and building the Ennis Town Academy, Farmer was the Chairman and Director of Football for the Clare Schoolboys for 5 years, where he revolutionised the program with the result of many Clare players receiving League of Ireland underage opportunities and a U16 national title.

Treaty United are looking forward to utilising Declan Farmer’s significant experience in positively developing programmes and players in this new expanded role as Academy Manager.
