Treaty United are delighted to announce the appointment of Dominic Foley as Manager of Treaty United Senior Women’s side ahead of the new SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division season.
Dominic, a Charleville native, holds a UEFA A coaching licence and enjoyed a distinguished playing career with top flight experience at Wolverhampton Wanderers in England, had spells with Queen’s Park Rangers, Watford, Notts County, Southend, Oxford United and Swindon Town in the UK, Ethnikos Piraeus in Greece and Braga in Portugal, in addition to eight years in the top league in Belgium at Gent and Cercle Brugge. Dominic has also League of Ireland experience with Bohemians and Limerick FC.
Dominic represented the Republic of Ireland at u-21 and senior level, making his debut in 2000 under Mick McCarthy. In his six international appearances Foley netted his first goal against Mexico and his last against the United States.
Foley joins Treaty United at an exciting time for the club following the recent takeover by Tricor Pacific in partnership with the club’s new CEO Ciara McCormack. Ciara said:

Foley on his appointment said “I have been very impressed with how Ciara, the Board and Treaty United want to raise the bar with Women’s football in Ireland . When the opportunity to speak to the club arose I knew it was something I wanted to commit to. Going in as a full time manager gives me a real opportunity to dedicate all my energy into the team and club, I cannot wait to get started”
