The Teams

Treaty United

9th placed Treaty United will be looking for their first result since June when they return to action on Saturday.

Treaty took on Galway United in their last game on October 21st and were soundly beaten 3-0 by the Tribeswomen at the Markets Field.

While results have not been as desired in recent weeks, many defeats have been by narrow margins against top opposition. However, manager Alban Hysa is likely to be disappointed at losing out away to basement side Cork City recently.

Ex-Shamrock Rovers player Chloe McCarthy will go against her former side for the first time this Saturday and will be keen to show her ability to the Tallaght side.

Shamrock Rovers

3rd placed Shamrock Rovers travel to Limerick on Saturday for their second competitive game in four days. They were winners away to DLR Waves on Wednesday night, a result that guarantees them a top three finish, but they will look take six points from their last two games to help secure 2nd place on their return to Senior Women’s football.

An FAI Cup semi-final defeat to Shelbourne put paid to their hopes of bringing silverware back to Tallaght Stadium this year, while multiple draws scuppered their chances of league glory.

While undefeated away from home, Rovers have dropped most of their points on the road this season with five draws from nine league games. This provides some glimmer of hope for Treaty as they look to record a big result.

Previous Encounter

Treaty United and Shamrock Rovers met for the first time at Senior Women’s level back in March when Rovers ran out 6-0 winners at Tallaght Stadium. Jaime Thompson scored a hat-trick off the bench, while Lauren Kelly, Aoife Kelly and Alannah McEvoy grabbed one each on a night best forgotten for Treaty fans.
