Treaty United

Treaty recorded a comfortable 3-2 away to Kerry in their last league game, a shot in the arm for play-off hopes, with goals from Enda Curran, Marc Ludden and Dean George sealing the points.

Cup disappointment followed last week as Cork City came away from the Markets Field with a place in the next round of the FAI Cup after a 2-0 victory. It was harsh on Treaty who were the more fluid and adventurous side in periods of the game. A Willie Armshaw shot rattled the crossbar early in the first half but Cian Coleman and Tunde Awolabi secured the win for the Leesiders.

Conor Barry and Success Edogun sat out the cup defeat to Cork City but they should be in contention against Wexford.

Andy Spain and Darren Collins are doubtful. Darren Nwankwo is suspended after a red card in the Cork game.

Wexford FC

Consecutive 3-0 wins in the league and cup have lifted spirits at Wexford after a dip in form in what has been a very decent season so far.

The club recently signed midfielder Luka Lovic. They are direct rivals to Treaty for a potential play-off berth having played a game more with a point advantage.

They will be hoping to put some daylight between Treaty and themselves with a home win.

New Treat signing Jordon Tallon signed from Wexford recently.

Past Meetings

Treaty have only lost to Wexford on one occasion, a 2-0 defeat last season.

The club has  recorded five victories over Wexford, the most notable a 5-1 victory on a very windy February night in 2022. Goals from Callum McNamara, Joel Coustrain, Joe Gorman and Enda Curran with a double gave Treaty the win.
