Treaty United are delighted to announce the signing of defender Andy Spain for the 2023 Men’s First Division season.
Andy joins from Athlone Town where he made 19 appearances last season, scoring once.
The Kildare native started competing on the national stage when he joined the Shamrock Rovers academy aged fourteen. Andy was named Shamrock Rovers under-17 Player of the Year in 2018 and captained the under-19s to Enda McGuill Cup glory in 2019.
Andy appeared for Shamrock Rovers II in the 2020 First Division before joining St. Patrick’s Athletic under-19s later that year where he won the league title alongside Success Edogun.
Andy also boasts great experience at underage international level having received call-ups for the Irish under-16, under-17 and under-18 sides.
When speaking to the Treaty United media team, Andy expressed his excitement at being signed up for the 2023 season:
