Treaty United can confirm the departure of Yoyo Mahdy from the club owing to work commitments and personal circumstances.
Yoyo joined the club ahead of the 2024 season and made 53 appearances for the club over the last 18 months, recording nine goals and ten assists in that time. Yoyo scored a number of important goals in his time with the club including the winner against Kerry FC in March of 2024, as well as a long-range free-kick against Wexford FC the following month, which earned him the Senior Men’s Goal of The Year award.
Following his departure, Yoyo shared the following message:
“I just want to put on record how much I enjoyed my time at Treaty United at an extremely difficult point in my life. I want to say a massive thank you to all the staff I worked with over the past 18 months, my teammates and of course the fans who supported us through the good and the bad. I will no doubt be back at the Markets Field to watch the lads as they push for playoffs and try to get this club to where it belongs.”
Treaty United would like to thank Yoyo for his contribution to the club over the last year-and-a-half and wish him the very best for the future.
Treaty United can also confirm the departure of Carl Williams and Vojtěch Ptáček from the club, while David Tarmey has returned to Galway United following the conclusion of his loan spell. We thank Carl, Vojtěch and David for their commitment and efforts during their time with the club and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
