Treaty United are delighted to announce the signing of striker Patrick Ferry.
Affectionately known as “Dixie”, the 22-year-old joins the club after spending the past two years with Finn Harps, where he scored 11 goals and registered three assists in 67 appearances for the Donegal outfit.
A native of Gweedore, Donegal, Patrick began his career at the Derry City academy, playing a key role in their Under-19 side’s 2021 Enda McGuill Cup triumph – a campaign that included a semi-final win over Treaty United. His impressive form at underage level earned him a professional contract with The Candystripes, and he went on to make 15 senior appearances under managers Declan Devine and Ruaidhrí Higgins.
Ferry also enjoyed a productive one-and-a-half seasons with Northern Irish side Ballinamallard United, scoring 13 goals in 48 outings at Ferney Park.
Patrick Ferry becomes the latest addition to Tommy Barrett’s side in the July transfer window, and is available for selection for Friday night’s game against former club Derry City at the Markets Field.
Tommy Barrett spoke to TreatyUnitedFC.com about his latest signing and thinks that Patrick will be a good addition to the side:
“Patrick is still only 22 and he’s got a bit of experience under his belt. We think he can do a good job for us up front as he’s a hardworking player, is technically good and has good physical strength too. We think he can hit the ground running and we look forward to seeing him in action.”
Patrick also spoke to TreatyUnitedFC.com after signing for the club and is looking forward to getting started with the club:
“I’m delighted to be here at Treaty United. I’m excited for this new challenge and can’t wait to get going now.”
