Treaty United are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Matt Boylan.

The 21-year-old joins the club after spending the past two years with St. Patrick’s Athletic.

Matt began his career with Lincoln City in 2020 at the age of 15. He spent two years with the Imps before making the move to Bromley in 2022.

He signed for St. Patrick’s Athletic in the summer of 2023 and was named in the Saints’ squad for their UEFA Europa Conference League qualifier against F91 Dudelange. He was also part of the side that lifted the Leinster Senior Cup in 2024 and has featured regularly for the club’s MU20s.

Although born in England, Boylan qualifies to represent Ireland through his grandparents and was involved in Tom Mohan’s Republic of Ireland U19 squad in the autumn of 2021.

Matt is the latest addition to the Senior Men’s squad and adds further depth to the team’s goalkeeping department.

Treaty United manager Tommy Barrett spoke to TreatyUnitedFC.com and was happy to have Matt added to the squad as they head into the final twelve games of the season:

“I feel that Matt is a good signing for us. He is a good shot stopper, is good with his feet and will compete with Corey Chambers for the number one spot.”

Matt spoke to TreatyUnitedFC.com also, and the goalkeeper is excited to have signed for the club:

“I’m buzzing to be here! I’m really looking forward to getting started.”
